Bio in Rebellion .
So here I am succumbing to society's norm of defining myself by something ....
I was born in Sidney , NY . It was the 70's as I'm sure you can tell from my name. I used to dislike my name until I got older and recognized its significance and symbolism. I'm pretty certain I reincarnated quite quickly as I really feel as though I am a hippie rebel freedom lover at heart. I love everything about the 60's and 70's. I grew up with siblings that were much older than me so I'm certain they had a fashion and music influence on me as well. I always loved fashion as I was growing up I loved to play dress up. I also loved dance class in elementary school and enjoyed very much making up dance routines to the hits of the 80's . I think that is what inspired me to want to be a dancer one day in NYC . I wasn't sure how I would do it, but I knew I would and I wanted it to be nothing but pure joy, and it was ! I moved to New York City to study fashion. My first night out I found myself at the NYC nightclub ' Danceteria ' . Or at least the space that was once known as , or moved to ...? Anyway, me and my new college dorm mates found our way to this little balcony to get our dance on . We were as if featured dancers lit up at this explosively fun miniature magical nightclub. I have never forgotten the lady that watched from down below and later approached me only to land me the best job of my life at a new club that was opening in New York City called " Webster Hall " . This space was so grand and gorgeous it was the old " Ritz ". A landmark space , a hang out for the likes of Al Capone. The space to me was a grand immense energy, housing the rocking rites of bands such as the Rolling Stones. That part of my life was tremendous in transforming me into a highly creative and dynamic entertainer. It was truly a great peak in personal artistic growth as I was enmeshed in the underground nightclub scene of NYC . I was thrown into an electric mix of colorful peers seeking out their true selves and expressing all sorts of personalities in their / our personal discoveries. To this day I think of that lady as a guardian angel. She led me to people rich in talents who would make an enormous impact on my emotional and spiritual growth as an adult individual. It was a time of great love and loss , freedom and expression, joy and transcendence. One day I'll write about that story .
